Introduction

Relationships and especially breakups can be painful. You may be currently going through a breakup and questioning what went wrong and why you seem to fall into the same patterns or attract the same types of people over and over again. You may also be feeling burnt out on dating and feel ready to finally find someone that you can connect with, but find that you just aren’t finding this, no matter how many dates you go on. Romantic relationships can be both a source of great happiness and great pain, which can leave anyone feeling a bit lost and discouraged when they seem to go poorly.

About Me

Hi, I’m Lauren. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I specialize in working with relationship concerns, dating, and breakups. Through therapy, I’ll help you better understand your patterns in relationships, develop healthy self-esteem, and create more space for loving connections. I am a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and welcome diversity in my practice, including those in poly and ENM relationships.

My Approach

When working together, we will take a look at attachment patterns and how your personal history and family may be impacting your experience of relationships. Whether you are anxious and fear abandonment, or you are terrified of intimacy and feel the need to run away, we will work together to help you feel more secure in your romantic relationships. Especially if you are going through a breakup, you will have space to process your feelings, regrets, and grief related to the relationship, while also looking towards the future. Many people experience patterns in their relationships and therapy can help you better understand your patterns and take control over changing them if they have not been working for you. You can expect to experience greater self-esteem, more openness to love, and maybe even a renewed sense of excitement around dating.
