Young Adulthood Transitions
Helping you navigate young adulthood transitions so you can feel clear about who you are and where you are going in life.
Introduction
You have probably worked hard throughout your life, pursuing your goals such as moving out of your family’s home, graduating from high school or college, and starting a career. You thought that once you achieved these things, you would feel fulfilled, yet you might find yourself looking at the life you have created and thinking “is this really all there is?” There is so much pressure put on individuals in their 20’s to discover themselves, start a career, develop relationships, and somehow have fun along the way, though the reality is that navigating your 20’s can be hard and can leave anyone feeling a bit lost. You want to lead a life that feels fulfilling and aligns with your values, yet you may be feeling confused about how exactly to make this happen.
About Me
Hi, I’m Lauren. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I specialize in working with young adults. Through therapy, I’ll help you gain clarity about who you are and who you are becoming, lead a life that feels aligned with your values, and increase your overall sense of self.
My Approach
Therapy is a journey of self discovery. It is a safe space where you can explore who you are, who you want to become, and how to live a life that feels meaningful to you. We will work together to take inventory of your family life, career goals, relationships, and personal identity and figure out what is working and what is not. We will explore the role of values within your life and how they can guide you in making choices that align with your authentic self. As you become more independent, it can be common to experience questions, realizations, and possibly even disappointments related to your upbringing and I will be there to support you as you navigate some of those questions. You can expect to experience greater self-esteem, sense of self, and a feeling that you are headed in the right direction.
